Daffodil Day Back on track

Our national day is back stronger than ever for 2021. Each year our club teams up with the Cancer Society of New Zealand to raise funds and help our local communities. Our national day this year is Sunday 22 August – keep checking this page as we compile a programme of events from our branches up and down the country.


Ashburton Show  ‘n Shine 11am – 2.30pm.All vehicles welcome no matter what age or type. Vintage Car Club, 86 Maronan Road, Tinwald, Ashburton. Display cars $10, spectators by donation.  All proceeds to Cancer Society.  Prize for People’s Choice. Coffee Cart on site. Enquiries: Colin Sweetman, Email:  ashburton@vcc.org.nz

Bay of Plenty

Join the fun – Meet as 12.30pm for a 1.00pm start at the Bay of Plenty Vintage Car Clubrooms, 29 Cliff Road, Tauranga. After the rally, we will return to the VCC Clubrooms for a delicious afternoon tea. Enquiries Linda Downey, ldowneynz@gmail.com. M; 021 0277 7931.


Join us for a coffee at one of our  four starting points: Pak’n’Save, Southbrook, Rangiora, 10.00am;  New Brighton Club, Marine Parade, 10.00am; Cashmere Club, Colombo Street, 10.00am; NPD Rolleston, Jones Road, 10.00am After a cuppa we head off on a run to our clubrooms where the the public can  join the Public Display at the VCC Grounds, McLeans Island Road, from 12 noon. Central Hawke’s Bay – Two great events

Car Display – 10am-1pm James St,  Waipukurau. Card display for general public and rally attendees. Sausage sizzle – coffee art – raffles so bring your spare change.

Car Rally – Starting 1pm James St, Waipukurau. The rally is suitable for all classes of cars. We will finish at a rustic revue in the country where a lovely afternoon tea will be provided by Cancer Society volunteers. Afternoon Tea $12.50pp. Charity Auction.

Monte ‘Targo (with apologies to Banks Peninsula Branch!)

A run to the finish – entrants plan and score their own routes. Finish location s is VCCClubrooms, Litany St, Cromwell.  Plan your arrival at the finish point by high noon (in other words within half an hour either side of) Highly competitive and completely unstructured, this is the rally for you. Eastern Bay of Plenty

Rally & Car Display Meet at The Hub, SH30, Whakatane 1:00pm  Sunday 22 August for a cruise through town. We return to The Hub for a display to follow.  Vehicles (and owners) of all types and ages are welcome to join the Eastern Bay of Plenty Branch VCC  in support of our local  Cancer Society.

Hawke’s Bay

Winery Picnic Run Depart 10.30 from VCC Hawke’s Bay Clubrooms 67 Sandy Rd, Meeanee, Napier  Join our run to a local winery for a picnic lunch.  Bring your picnic chairs and picnic lunch. (Limited food available at the venue.) No BYO drinks to be brought onto the property.
