The Historic Motoring Authority of New Zealand
Welcome to one of the largest motoring clubs in New Zealand. With over 8,000 members and many thousands of vehicles and motorcycles listed on the club’s database, the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand offers something for everyone. You don’t need to own a Vintage vehicle to become a member – our club caters for all types of cars, motorcycles, commercial and military vehicles which are over 30 years old and are in compliance with VCC period category requirements.
The club has 36 branches and runs a variety of events to cater for all our members around New Zealand. Sunday coffee mornings are a becoming an increasingly popular feature at many branches and a offer great introduction to the Club and its members. These are often followed up with a bit of a drive to a scenic destination. Also popular are overnight (or longer) tours or if your of a more adventurous bent there are hillclimbs, speed events and even mudplugs. Swapmeets and as regular club evenings are a staple activity in branches around the country get in touch with your local branch secretary to see what’s happening in your neighbourhood.
What we do have in common is a shared appreciation for the fascination of age, the individuality and the functional elegance of vehicles from a by-gone era be they two or four (or even more) wheels. Club-eligible vehicles include Veteran, Vintage, Post War, Post 1960, Post 1980, Commercial, Motorcycle and Historic Racing vehicles.
