Taupo – Sunday 23 August – Show & Shine Join us for a major Car Show and Shine together in conjunction with Ingham Ford Taupo at 87 Tuwharetoa Street. A gold coin donation per car (or more if you like) would be appreciated. A 2-hour display commencing at 10am with possible rides in both vintage, classic and hot rod vehicles for a gold coin donation from the public. There will be some spot prizes for those participating. Wanganui – Sunday 23 August – Rally for Cancer – Join us for a Sunday Drive on Sunday 23 August 2026 Register at the Wanganui VCC Clubrooms in Patapu Street, Wanganui East from 12 pm with a short safety briefing at 12.45 pm and first cars away at 1pm. This year we are having a ‘Scatter Run’, the aim is to find and answer clues from all over Wanganui and the vehicle that gets the greatest number of points wins. You will have 2 hours to drive around answering questions. Wellington – Saturday 22 August – It’s our annual Daffodils Motor Show at Brewtown, Upper Hutt – 10am to 1pm.
NOTE: This is happening Saturday 22nd (not the Sunday). Hosted by the Wellington branch of the Vintage Car Club, all car clubs and individual owners of interesting vehicles are invited to join in as we raise funds for a worthy – the work of the NZ Cancer Society. Expect to see hundreds of cars, from old vintage to Japanese classics, fine English thoroughbreds to the glitz and glamour of American fins and chrome. Ford Tens to Ferrari sports cars. Aussie muscle to European finesse. The variety on display is what makes this event so appealing.
