The Daffodil Rally returns this year, and it’s going to be big!

North Island

Far North

Which end of the Far North are you? Choose a rally!

Rally One starts 1pm at the Te Ahu Community Centre in Katiaia while Rally Two starts 1pm at the Kerikeri Waipapa shopping centre carpark. Both rallies take you over at least 40kms of scenic rural roads and meet at the Matthews Vintage Collection Museum (opp Aurere Beach Road, SH10, RD 3 Kaitaia) where you will see a live display including a 1905 stationary engine.

Donation for afternoon tea.

North Shore, Waitemata, Wellsford/Warkworth

Assemble 10am at the Caffeine and Classics event at Smales Farm, Takapuna for registration. First car away at 11.15am on a tour that will take you up the West Coast on sealed roads to finish in Warkworth Town Centre for a car display.

Prizes for “Peoples’ Choice”, walks along the wharf, cafes etc. Followed by Vintage Planes at Kaipara Flats Airfield.

$10 per vehicle entry fee.

Waikato Branch are planning a Car Parade through the Hamilton Lake Domain and a Show and Shine at the Hamilton Classics Museum until 2.30pm. There will be onsite entertainment and collection buckets for the Cancer Society.

Meet at 1pm for a 1.15pm departure at the Taupo VCC Clubrooms (Hickling Park, AC Baths Ave). The 50km run will take you out through to Acacia Bay and finish at Kinloch for a BYO afternoon tea.

Bay of Plenty

Meet at 12.30pm for a 1pm start at the Bay of Plenty VCC rooms (29 Cliff Road Tauranga). The rally will be a delightful 80km ramble south of Tauranga with beautiful rural, bush, and ocean views along the way. Enjoy true country hospitality over a delicious afternoon tea midway.

$10.00 per car for the Cancer Society, and $5.00 per person for afternoon tea.

Eastern Bay of Plenty

Meet at The Hub opposite Briscoes (Whakatane) ready for a 1pm start which takes the entrants through a tour of Whakatane and finishes back at The Hub for a public car display.

$10 entry per car.

Assemble at the parking area on the corner of Roebuck Road and Childers Road from 12 noon for a 1pm start. The run will again visit Tolaga Bay where it is hoped that their Market Day will run from 1pm to 3pm. BYO afternoon tea.

Hawke’s Bay

Come along and see a display of historic vehicles, hot rods and motor cycles at the Aquarium carpark on Marine Parade from 12.30pm-2pm (including a $2 sausage sizzle) and then depart on a Rally that finishes at the VCC Club Rooms at 67 Sandy Road, Meeanee for a prizegiving (BYO drinks and nibbles).

Central Hawke’s Bay

Meet at the A & P showground (Mitchell Street entrance) from 12.30pm for a vehicle display. The cars will then head off at 1.30pm for an easy drive finishing at a pleasant country location for afternoon tea.

The cost will be $10 per car, plus $7 per head for afternoon tea.

Come along and join in the fun of a ‘scatter run’ where you search for clues all over town. Meet at Wanganui VCC Club Rooms (Patapu St) at 12.45 for a 1.15pm start and all cars must log in at the finish, (Cullinane School Hall) by 2:45pm.

Come and join us between 10 am and 3 pm at Queen Elizabeth Park, Paekakariki (North Entrance). Bring your own special interest vehicle for inclusion in the display, or just come and enjoy looking at the wide variety of vehicles on show. You can also visit the Tramway Museum, take a ride in a tram, horse drawn carriage or vintage car to the beach, watch model aircraft flying (weather permitting), visit the memorial to the US Marines who camped there during World War II or walk the tracks and trails. Sausage sizzle, tea, coffee and cup-cakes.

$5 minimum donation per car.

South Island


Assemble from 12noon for a 1pm start at the Nelson VCC clubrooms (use the Lansdowne Road entry of the Speedway Assn Grounds). Two rally routes will end up with a ‘Park Up Display’ where there will be a coffee cart and sausage sizzle and plenty of vehicles to look at. Everyone welcome and it’s a great way to ‘have a go’ at a rally.
