FAQ

Unsure which forms you require for your VIC, see our questions below.

To ensure the correct application is completed please read the questions below carefully and download the appropriate forms. See below for links to NZTA website regarding seatbelts and child restraints.

1. Have you just purchased a vehicle, which already has a Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated ID Card?    This card is now invalid.   To transfer details please select change of ownership (Form C) for the appropriate form.   Once completed, this is sent to the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated National Office for processing.    Please note, if you are not a member, there is a charge of $130 applicable.

2. Are you a Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated financial member and wish to apply for a Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated Vehicle ID Card (VIC) or Historic Motor Vehicle Date of Manufacture & Authenticity Statement (DOMAS)?     Click to download Form A here.
PLEASE NOTE: If you only require a Lighting Equipment Endorsement (Headlamps, Motorcycle turn signals, stop lamps) you need an application for lighting equipment endorsement.     Download form B here.     Once completed, these forms should be sent to your own branch secretary for processing.

3. I am not a member of  the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated – can I  obtain a Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated Vehicle ID Card (VIC) or Historic Motor Vehicle Date of Manufacture & Authenticity Statement (DOMAS)?    Yes non-members of the VCCNZ should apply using the same forms as members, as above.   Once completed, non members should send these forms to National Office of the VCC NZ via email office@vcc.org.nz or PO Box 2546, Christchurch.

4. Do you currently hold a valid Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated Vehicle ID Card or Historic Motor Vehicle Date of Manufacture & Authenticity Statement and have discovered you require a lighting endorsement?    Download Form B here.     Once completed, members should send the forms and the existing Vehicle ID Card to your branch secretary (or if a non member, to the VCC National Office at the email address or postal address above).

5. Do you reside overseas and belong to the overseas branch of the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated?    Are you bringing a vehicle from overseas for a Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated National, International or Speed Event?    You will require a Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated Historic Motor Vehicle Date of Manufacture & Authenticity Statement.    Download Form A as per paragraph 2 above.

6. Are you an overseas resident, a non member of the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated attending a Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated National or International event?    You will require a Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated Historic Motor Vehicle Date of Manufacture & Authenticity Statement. Download Form A as per paragraph 2 above.    Please note, there is a charge for non members, which is explained on the form.

7. Are you a Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated Member attending a Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Incorporated Speed Event?    You will require a New Zealand Historic Racing Licence and Logbook.  Click here to download historic_race_license and historic_race_log book  applications (two separate files to download).
